Hydration booster

Much like Alleven’s marketing for their face serum, the Prodigy Oil can be used in a variety of ways. If you’re new to oil, you’ll appreciate the options, and I especially liked the recommendation to mix the oil with their toner (a product I also enjoyed and reviewed previously). On hot summer days in the desert, my skin struggles to stay hydrated. And even though the toner/oil mixture is recommended as a “skin balancer” for people with oily/combination skin, I found it helpful as a hydration booster for my normal-to-dry skin when mixed with one of my lesser quality toners.Usually, I use oil as a topper in the evening, but I liked mixing the Prodigy Oil with a gel-based moisturizer for daytime. It seemed to absorb better this way and improved the way my makeup applied. 4 stars. Incentivized Review.

Great facial oil!

I have been using Alleven's Prodigy oil for the past two weeks and I really love it! The oil comes in a dropper bottle which I really like for contactless dispensing. It’s super lightweight and goes on really easy. You only need less than a dime sized amount for your entire face and neck. I was using it right after my cleanser then topping it with my moisturizer at night. I also tried it a few times during the day mixed in with the same brands total face serum and it was light enough to not make my make up look greasy. It gets absorbed in the skin very quick so you don’t feel oily like with some other face oils. Would highly recommend! Incentivized Review.

gentle anti-aging treatment that actually works

Alleven Prodigy Oil is a standout facial oil that delivers both nourishment and noticeable results. Designed especially for sensitive skin, this clean, bioactive formula features bakuchiol—a botanical alternative to retinol—making it a gentle yet effective option for improving skin texture and elasticity. The oil absorbs beautifully into the skin without feeling greasy, and just a few drops give an instant, healthy glow. I love that it’s so versatile—you can use it alone as a serum or blend it into your favorite moisturizer for an added hydration boost. Over time, I noticed smoother skin, a more even tone, and a subtle softening of fine lines.Whether you’re looking for a glow-up or deep skin repair, this oil delivers. It feels luxurious and nourishing, and the fact that it’s packed with clean ingredients makes it even better. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a gentle anti-aging treatment that actually works. ALLEVEN Prodigy Oil

I have the privilege of being in the beauty industry for 35+ years and the opportunity to experience hundreds of cosmetic products. ALLEVEN began in 2017 by founder Celia Forner Venturi with the iconic Colour Shield body concealer, noted for its tone adjusting pigments. They pride themselves on being pioneers of skincare multitasking. Alleven’s Prodigy Oil is an advanced botanical face treatment oil formulated with a blend of 17 bio‑active ingredients, providing multi-layered skin benefits. These include hydration, firming and specifically evening out skin tone and photo aging due to its unique bio‑retinoid formula. Offering the use of vegan retinols specifically bakuchiol and phytol plant-based molecules that mimic traditional retinol’s benefits without harsh side effects. The product has a texture and scent that are both luxurious and deliberately designed to evoke a sensory experience. It’s a dry oil, meaning it doesn’t leave a greasy film. It sinks into the skin quickly, leaves a smooth velvety finish and doesn't feel heavy or occlusive once absorbed. The scent is aromatherapeutic and lavender forward, not synthetic or overpowering, but definitely present. Incentivized Review.

Nice Oil

I am all about starting anti aging products early on if you can. And I love an alternative to retinol because sometimes it can be harsh and overly drying. I have sensitive, acne prone skin, but it leans towards the dryer side surprisingly, so I wasn't too worried about trying this oil on my face. I would only use this at night because I do use a vitamin c in the morning and I don't typically like to mix "actives" even if it is a natural alternative. Some nights I would just massage the oil on its own all over my face and neck, which makes for a really great massage at the end of the day because the oil stretches beautifully, but it's not overly oily either. Other nights I would mix it together with my night cream. I do feel overall my skin has a nice softness to it. However, I haven't yet seen a huge difference in some of the hyperpigmentation from past acne scars. Incentivized Review.
